International Directorate

Széchenyi István University continually strives to widen the scope of its international activities. To support this goal the University has established the International Directorate, under the direction of the vice president for International Affairs and Strategic relations. International Directorate  provides a comprehensive framework for managing international academic affairs. This includes collaborating with partner institutions, coordinating mobility programmes, promoting English-taught academic programmes and organizing major cultural and academic events for the international community. Additionally, International Directorate  offers administrative support to international students at the University.

International Culinary Event

Felhivas.jpg

Széchenyi István University is offering a great opportunity for students from different
countries studying at our University to demonstrate their cooking skills and share their
culinary culture with other students.

If you are keen to demonstrate and prepare your favourite and/or well-known national dishes and
specialities during this event, please sign up via the link below.

Ideally, we would prefer to have national teams of up to 4 people cooking a meal (i.e., not just one
dish), but if you really want to cook alone, we would still encourage you to participate.

The venue for the event will be the Széchenyi Restaurant on campus, and is provisionally scheduled to
take place during March - April 2021.

The University will of course procure the raw materials you require.

The staff of the Széchenyi Restaurant will be there on hand to assist you in the preparation of the food.

We request participants to kindly give their consent for the University Studio to make a video recording
of the preparation and cooking process. Using the individual short videos, we are planning to produce
a series of cooking shows to post on our website, demonstrating the diversity of Szechényi’s international students.

The poster of the event can be found >>here<<

You can register for the event by 1 March 2021 on the link below:
