Junior Crystal Scales of Justice Prize

EN junior CP calendar.webp

We are pleased to inform you that the 4th edition of the “Junior Crystal Scales of Justice” Prize, jointly organized by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) of the Council of Europe and the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Management of Strasbourg, has been launched.

This Prize is open to students preparing a Master degree (first or second year) in a Law Faculty of one of the member States of the Council of Europe or of an observer State to the CEPEJ. It complements the existing Crystal Scales Justice Prize, which aims at discovering and highlighting innovative and efficient practices concerning the functioning of justice, judicial procedures or the organization of courts.

For this 2026 edition, the participating teams of students will have to defend one of the awarded projects of the 2025 Crystal Scales Justice Prize. Namely, through legal analysis and research, they will have to pinpoint the innovative aspects of the assigned project and study its possible transposition into another context or another State (See rules and poster attached).

Teams must send the application form before January 9, 2026. You will find all the relevant information on this Prize on the web page Junior European Crystal Scales of Justice Prize - European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) (coe.int)

The winning team will be invited in Strasbourg to the CEPEJ Plenary Meeting (Spring 2026).

We remain of course at your disposal for any questions you may have at the following address: raphael.eckert@unistra.fr
