Bachelor’s and Master’s Students representing Russian and foreign universities are invited to participate in the All-Russian contest with international participation
“BEST (Business – Engineering – Society – Technology) projects”

 

 

The Contest is held in 2 steps:


Step 1: the contestants are to write a motivation letter in 80-150 words and make a video 3-5 minutes long at their home university. Each university selects the best 3-5
works which then must be submitted to the organizing committee of the host university.


Step 2: the final stage of the contest is an online videoconference via Zoom where the contestants will give their presentations (formats .ppt, .pptx, .pdf) to the international jury and the host university’s jury.

The participants are not limited in the choice of their topics, fields of application, or the way of they would perform their projects.
The motivation letter must be a Word document, Times New Roman, 14, in which a student must outline the general points of his or her project paying special attention to
its importance, application, etc. Grammatical, lexical and stylistic awareness will also be considered and evaluated according to the Criteria from the contest program.
The video must be 3-5 minutes long representing briefly the main characteristics of the project. One project can be prepared and submitted by one or two authors. The
author(s) of the project should appear and be heard in the video.


To participate in the online Zoom videoconference, students must: prepare an electronic presentation and speak according to its content.

Deadlines

  • Registration forms must be submitted by March 20th, 2021
  • Students write motivational letters and prepare videos at their home universities (international@sze.hu).
  • Each university selects the best 3-5 projects. Universities must
    submit these projects (motivational letters and videos) to the Organizing Committee by March 31st, 2021.
  • The list of contestants who have reached the videoconference stage will be sent out by April, 10th, 2021.
  • The contestants selected to participate in the videoconference should submit their presentations in an electronic format to the Organizing Committee by
    April 25th.
  • The videoconference participants should prepare an electronic presentation in English and present it to the jury in real-time at the videoconference. The
    length of the presentation is not to exceed 12 minutes.
  • The videoconference will be held on April 30th, 2021.

The jury consists of English teachers, teachers of professional disciplines with a knowledge of English and experience in project design, representatives from Regex
SEO, members of the International Network of Language Centers and Programs.

The winners of the competition will receive prizes, certificates of excellence in various categories.
