The European Commission's Cross-Border Ambassadors application closes on 31 August 2026, and municipalities, regional offices, and state representatives like yours are one of the most direct ways to reach the young residents who could benefit most.

This initiative, run by DG REGIO through the Border Focal Point Network in partnership with Youth4Cooperation, gives young people aged 18–30 from border regions a direct channel into EU policy on cross-border cooperation.

With only two weeks remaining, we're asking regional offices across Europe's border regions to help close that gap. A quick mention on your website, an email to local youth networks, or a share on your official social channels could be the reason a young person in your community applies in time.

By helping spread the word, you give young people the chance to represent their region, work directly with the European Commission, and bring forward real solutions to the cross-border challenges their community faces.
