In the meantime, for any questions or further information, please contact the Institutional Coordinator, Ms Kinga Kerpics, at exchange@sze.hu.

Eligibility

All faculty members of a CEEPUS university are eligible to apply.
You need to be a citizen of a CEEPUS member State  to participate in the program. If you have a different citizenship but are enrolled at a CEEPUS university, you might also be eligible. In that case, please ask your National CEEPUS Office for restrictions and further information.

TEACHING MOBILITY

  • Employment as a higher education lecturer is required.
  • A minimum of 6 teaching hours/consultations over at least 5 days is required, along with the submission of a teaching plan.
  • For network mobility, support from the network coordinator is required.
  • Applicants may not receive any other scholarship during the funded period.
  • Citizenship of a CEEPUS member country (or proof of “Equal Status”) is required.
  • Applications cannot be submitted for mobility to the applicant’s country of citizenship or residence.

Network Mobilities

The CEEPUS programme supports mobility within thematic networks of eligible higher education institutions. Each CEEPUS network is composed of at least five universities from different partner countries, promoting international academic cooperation and exchange. A call for network applications is issued annually, inviting institutions to form or continue collaborative partnerships. Submitted proposals undergo a rigorous evaluation process, ensuring that only high-quality networks are selected. Through these networks, the programme provides structured opportunities for academic mobility, enabling participants to gain international experience in education and teaching.

You can find information about the network placements awarded for the current academic year under the "News" section on the homepage.
Please contact the network coordinator for the relevant network regarding available placements and your mobility plans.

If a mobility arrangement has been agreed with a network coordinator, please follow the steps below:

  1. Contact the Institutional Coordinator (Ms Kinga Kerpics, exchange@sze.hu) and inform her of the planned mobility.

  2. Submit the Letter of Award and the “Personal Data of the Mandate” form to the coordinator to facilitate the administrative process.

  3. Upon arrival, visit the International Directorate (Office ÚT 107) to sign the “Personal Data of the Mandate” form in person.
If required, the International Directorate can print the Letter of Participation and, once it has been signed by the Network Coordinator, provide the official institutional stamp.

  4. Once received, upload the document to the CEEPUS IRO desktop and complete the participant report.

Please note that submission of the mobility report and a fully completed, signed, and stamped Letter of Participation is mandatory for the eligibility of the mobility. Failure to complete these requirements may result in the rejection of the mobility and the obligation to reimburse the grant.

Freemower Mobilities

If a home university or institute is not part of a CEEPUS network, it is still possible to apply as a freemover in any eligible CEEPUS country. Please note that the number of freemover grants is limited, and not all participating countries accept freemover applications.

To initiate a freemover application, applicants are advised to contact their respective National CEEPUS Office for guidance and support. Prior to submitting the application, the following document must be prepared (see the Download section):

For teachers:

  • One Freemover Letter of Acceptance – Teacher issued by the host institution

Please note that freemover applications are not accepted for the categories “Network Meeting” and “Staff Mobility.”
