24th edition of the Visegrad Summer School

The Visegrad Summer School is an interdisciplinary educational programme organised annually since 2002 at Villa Decius in Kraków, bringing together students, researchers, and young professionals from Central and Eastern Europe and other regions to exchange ideas and broaden their perspectives on key political, economic, cultural, and social challenges. The programme has hosted more than 900 participants from 45 nationalities and nearly 400 distinguished speakers, including leading intellectuals, policymakers, journalists, and cultural figures. The programme combines lectures, debates, and workshops led by international experts with study visits and networking activities, creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and long-term professional connections. 

The 24th Visegrad Summer School will take place 6–15 July 2026 in Kraków, Poland. This year’s edition is organised under the theme “Future of Information.” The programme will explore how information is produced, used, and contested in contemporary societies, focusing on issues such as disinformation, media literacy, the role of technology and artificial intelligence, and the impact of digital platforms on democratic processes and public discourse.

The program is addressed to students, PhD candidates, young researchers, journalists, civil society representatives, and early-career professionals interested in international relations, media, public policy, and related fields. 

Each year, around 30 participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds take part in lectures, workshops, and discussions led by international experts representing academia, media, public institutions, business, and civil society.
